Pathways Alcohol & Drug Rehabilitation Center located in Annapolis, Maryland, offers innovative inpatient and outpatient alcohol & drug treatment programs for adolescents and adults with alcohol and or drug addiction. Situated on a wooded, eight-acre parcel of land in Annapolis, Md., Pathways drug rehabilitation programs are designed with the physical, emotional and social needs of the patients in mind. Reflective Treatment Center
Reflective Treatment Center is an Opiate Maintenance Therapy and Opiate Maintenance Therapy – Detox treatment facility, operated under the auspices of the East Baltimore Community Corporation (EBCC) since 1969. The target population of Reflective Treatment Center is opiate dependent adults ages 18 and over. Health Care for the Homeless
Health Care for the Homeless (HCH) is a nationally-recognized model for the delivery of care to underserved populations. HCH services are comprehensive. We offer addiction treatment, mental health services, HIV services, supportive housing, pediatric and adult medical care, social work and case management, dental care, vision assistance, outreach, and access to education and employment. Health Care for the Homeless operates the only state-certified outpatient addiction treatment program in Maryland with a curriculum specifically designed to address the unique needs and life Addictions group circumstances of people experiencing homelessness. Employing a range of interventions from outreach to outpatient treatment, counseling to referrals and placement in residential settings, HCH incorporates both a harm reduction model and an abstinence-based chronic disease model of addiction treatment to serve a vulnerable population. The creative strategies used by HCH addiction counselors, case managers, and peer leaders keep our clients engaged in services while reducing the harm they may pose to themselves or the broader community, regardless of whether or not an individual is ready to enter formal treatment. Dayspring Programs
Dayspring transforms the lives of homeless children and their families by providing housing, substance abuse treatment and services to assist families to gain stability and the resources to rebuild their lives. Dayspring's continuum of care includes residential treatment, transitional and permanent housing with focus on prevention, intervention, treatment and recovery. Dayspring operates a transitional housing program for 18 families in east Baltimore. Families with a parent of 18 years or older with a history of homelessness and substance abuse qualify for the program. Dayspring is unique among transitional housing programs as we take children up to the age of 16 and multiple-children families. Services and linkage to community resources are provided by on-site staff members: case managers, substance abuse counselor, mental health counselor, community health nurse and children’s program director. Trauma-informed and trauma-specific services are provided to address the complex links between violence, trauma, and addiction. Interventions are comprehensive to address overall goals to remain drug free, retain stable housing, develop self-determination, and develop positive family relationships. Focus is maintained on children’s needs and family stability. Dayspring’s permanent supportive housing program serves 63 families in scattered-site, rent-subsidized supportive housing. Case managers assist families to work cooperatively with their landlords, maintain their homes, maintain sobriety, seek or maintain employment, and provide a nurturing environment for their children. No Turning Back provides safe, affordable housing and support services for men in recovery. Martha’s Place
Martha’s Place is a Maryland state-certified recovery program for women overcoming drug addiction and homelessness. Martha's Place borders Baltimore's communities of Sandtown-Winchester and Upton and offers both six-month transitional housing as well as long-term Single Room Occupancy (SRO) housing. Martha's Place provides a structured recovery program to help clients maintain sobriety and develop life-skills vital for independent living. While national recovery rates from drug addiction are commonly listed at a 30% success rate, Martha’s Place has operated its six-month transitional phase with a successful recovery rate of nearly 50% since opening in 2000 and its long-term SRO phase with a successful recovery rate of 75% since opening in 2005. Six-month transitional housing: Women completing 28-day detoxification or 30 Narcotics Anonymous (NA) meetings in a span of 30 days, are eligible to apply for the six-month transitional housing program at Martha's Place. The program focuses on teaching women the skills necessary to overcome their drug-dependency while simultaneously developing the skills necessary for independent living. Long-term SRO (Single Room Occupancy) housing: Women that complete a six-month transitional program are eligible to apply for residency at one the Martha's Place long-term SRO homes. Each of the four SRO homes offer individual bedrooms and shared living rooms, dining rooms, bathrooms, laundry facilities, and outdoor gardens. Maryland Community Health Initiatives Penn North is a nonprofit organization that has been delivering behavioral health and recovery services through its Penn North Recovery Center in Baltimore City for over two decades. Penn North offers an integrated, community-based addiction treatment and wellness program. Acupuncture, outpatient counseling, job readiness and training, and a variety of healing modalities are available to assist individuals seeking to recover their lives by better understanding their relationships with addictive substances. The innovative combination of treatment modalities offered at Penn North have helped thousands of people on their path to wellness by allowing them to take control of their lives and their health. Our Outpatient and Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse Treatment Programs are certified by the Maryland Department of Health and Mental Hygiene. All clients undergo a comprehensive clinical assessment during which a plan of treatment is developed. Through individual counseling and group therapy clients learn to identify signs, symptoms, and triggers of substance abuse. In addition, clients are encouraged to develop new or more effective problem-solving strategies that will enable them to lead healthier lives after completing the program. Clients also are encouraged to attend NA meetings offered at Penn North and to live up to the principles and ideals of the twelve-step philosophy. A Step Forward works to provide housing and support for those recovering from substance abuse or other life threatening issues. The homeless population in Baltimore City needs our help Maybe people battle with alcohol and drug addiction which can lead to being homeless in Baltimore City. Halfway housing, combined with outpatient / intensive outpatient treatment can make a difference in the lives of the affected. Substance Abuse Treatment Individual counseling is a collaborative process in which a unique, confidential helping relationship is developed between a counselor and a willing client (student / Client). In this relationship, the professional counselor acts as a facilitator to help the client to understand more accurately his / herself and the world around him / her. Halfway Housing: A halfway house or recovery house is only a clean and sober environment, where recovering people can continue their recovery. The purpose of a halfway house, also called a recovery house or sober house, is generally to allow people to begin the process of reintegration with society, while still providing monitoring and support; this is generally believed to reduce the risk of recidivism or relapse when compared to a release directly into society. Group Counseling: Group counseling is a form of therapy, which posits that people benefit from shared experiences. Usually group counseling is focused on a particular issue, for example obsessive-compulsive disorder or anger management. One of the main principals behind group counseling is the idea that dealing with specific issues may cause isolation, and a feeling that one is alone in facing one's problems. The Transitional Housing provides funds for the construction, acquisition, or rehabilitation of residential housing for low-income individuals and families having an immediate need for temporary or transitional housing. The Transitional housing programs play an important part in many communities as they aid people struggling to get back on their feet. Institutes for Behavior Resources
Institutes for Behavior Resources, IBR offers a comprehensive outpatient substance use disorders program that delivers medication-assisted treatment services. Through its Intensive Outpatient services (IOP), REACH provides a higher level of care to patients who do not do well with standard outpatient or opioid maintenance therapies. The REACH (Recovery Enhanced by Access to Comprehensive Healthcare) Mobile Health Services program, is a comprehensive outpatient substance abuse program uniquely designed to deliver medication-assisted treatment services to addicts in the communities where they reside. REACH was recently awarded a state licensure as an intensive outpatient program and provides a higher level of care to patients who are not doing well in standard outpatient or opioid maintenance therapies. Group counseling is offered 4 days per week and includes topics such as stress management, relapse management, trauma informed yoga, acupuncture, coping skills, health and wellness, compulsive behaviors, alcohol and stimulant education, in addition to many others. All patients are assigned an individual counselor and receive intensive individual counseling in addition to the group counseling. Case management and psychiatric consultation and follow up are also provided. Patients with PAC and Health Choice from the community and from the REACH program are eligible for admission to the intensive outpatient program. ​Treatment Resources for Youth
Treatment Resources for Youth, TRY is a private non-profit organization that was founded in 1973. The Department of Health and Mental Hygiene of the State of Maryland has certified Treatment Resources for Youth as an outpatient, drug-free substance abuse treatment center. Treatment Resources for Youth, TRY provides substance treatment and prevention services to Baltimore City youth and their families that are high risk to drugs, crime and violence. Services Provided: Individual, group and family counseling. Special Programs / Groups: Adolescents ages 11 - 17 ( 18-21 year olds will be considered for admission if enrolled in attending an education / vocation program). TRY incorporates a cognitive approach covering drug use, drug addiction, drug dealing, behavioral problems, family concerns, education, community, legal, and target risk factors. TRY provides education, outpatient care and counseling for individuals, groups and families. TRY developed one of the first outpatient programs to establish and implement a specialty group that deals with adolescent drug dealers. TRY runs a summer program which offers a variety of experiences to Baltimore city youth. TRY accepts referrals from schools, community, home, DJJ, DSS, courts, inpatient facilities, and provides after-care curriculum for those being released from inpatient settings. TRY refers clients to appropriate modalities for services that may require additional treatments, i.e., inpatient, Job Corps, etc. TRY provides counselors who go into public schools and work with students through the Baltimore Student Assistance Program (BSAP) and provides staff training for teachers. Total Health Care Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment Services
Total Health Care Alcohol and Substance Abuse Treatment Services provides a team of trained providers to treat addiction and substance abuse. The Total Health Care Substance Abuse Program is a state-certified, outpatient program that treats the whole person. This includes physically, psychologically, socially and spiritually. Our substance abuse case management services link on-site primary care, mental health, housing, and counseling services. We also refer to services for childcare, and vocational and educational training. Total Health Care provides Buprenorphine Maintenance as part of the city’s Baltimore Buprenorphine Initiative. This is an effort of the Baltimore City Health Department, Baltimore Substance Abuse Systems and Baltimore Health Care Access, Inc. At Total Health Care, clients are inducted and maintained on Buprenorphine while receiving the program’s comprehensive treatment services. Echo House Multi-Service Center is a non-profit, multi-disciplinary agency. Echo House provides substance abuse treatment to adolescents, adults, and seniors. We assist our clients in reaching their optimum level of physical, economic, behavioral, emotional, social and spiritual well-being. We are a team of Board Certified Addiction Counselors in full-time private practice. Echo House has over 40 years of experience working with clients from adolescence onward in individual therapy, group analysis, family therapy, and individualized chemical detox therapy. We use a client-centered therapeutic approach to treat a wide range of addictions including: Marijuana, Prescriptions Drug dependence, Cocaine, Heroin and other opiates, Ecstasy and "Club Drugs", Amphetamines, Crystal Methamphetamine, Crack Cocaine, Aerosol "huffing", inhalants, "Rush", "robotripping" cough syrup abuse, and other synthetic substances.
