North Charles
North Charles provides comprehensive opioid treatment services including individual and group therapy, methadone maintenance, detoxification, relapse prevention, HIV/AIDS and health education, specialized groups, family education, psychopharmacology services and stress management. IMPACT is an outpatient substance abuse treatment program for people whose lives have been affected by drugs, alcohol and other addictions.  Services include assessments, individual, couples and family therapy, psycho educational and ongoing groups, psychopharmacology services and urine screening.  Specialty services are also offered. North Charles addiction treatment programs are based on the premise that drug and alcohol abuse, while presented as the primary problem, is only one segment of a wide range of personal and social issues that interfere with a person’s ability to live a safe and satisfying lifestyle. It is recognized that while there may be some healthy and satisfying aspects to an addicted person’s life, to define drug use as the only problem is too narrow a view of human living. Therefore, we believe that substance use disorders have biologic, psychodynamic, socio-cultural, and behavioral components that must be addressed over the long-term.  Our program is designed to meet a client’s individual needs, with the ultimate goal of assisting the client in attaining and maintaining a drug and alcohol free lifestyle. New Horizons medical
New Horizons medical offers an office based opiate treatment program. Specially trained staff provide treatment, including Suboxone and counseling, for those addicted to opiates. Physicians who treat opioid addiction also have the option of utilizing ‘medication-assisted treatment’, and the most common medication used in the treatment of opioid dependence today is buprenorphine (Suboxone). As such we offer a wide array of supportive counseling services to individuals on our program. We also offer services to friends and families impacted by addiction. uprenorphine has numerous advantages over methadone and naltrexone. As a medication-assisted treatment, it suppresses withdrawal symptoms and cravings for opioids, does not cause euphoria in the opioid-dependent patient, and it blocks the effects of the other (problem) opioids for at least 24 hours. Success rates, as measured by retention in treatment and one-year sobriety, have been reported as high as 40 to 60 percent in some studies. For more information please contact New Horizons medical.

Lowell Comprehensive Treatment Center
Lowell Comprehensive Treatment Center is a premier provider of medication assisted treatment for those who are grappling with opioid addictions. Supplying programming options for adults aged 18 and older, we offer a full spectrum of care that involves a mixture of therapeutic treatments and the use of safe and effective medications. With a staff comprised of talented and experienced nurses, physicians, and counselors, we are capable of providing patients with a warm and inviting environment that supports them throughout their journey towards recovery. When individuals who are battling with an addiction to opioids, such as heroin or prescription painkillers, come to us for care, our kind and understanding team of professionals work endlessly to supervise the prescription and the administration of medications to ensure that each patient is obtaining the most safe and effective treatment that will encourage a positive outcome. The medications that we supply at Lowell Comprehensive Treatment Center include: Methadone, Subutex and Suboxone. The type of medication that is prescribed, along with the dosage, will be recommended based on the patient’s treatment needs. One of our qualified physicians can make any necessary adjustments to this medication and/or dosage as needed, as the care we provide is individualized to meet the needs of each patient. We believe strongly that therapeutic interventions must be included into the treatment plans that are created for patients. We feel that it is critical for patients to understand the hidden causes behind why they started abusing opioids. Additionally, we work to provide patients with a positive outlet for the emotions they experience while going through recovery. The support that patients can obtain from developing a network of peers who have shared in similar battles is also highly beneficial at this time. Therefore, we are proud to offer Individual and Group therapy.
