Community Substance Abuse Centers
Community Substance Abuse Centers (CSAC) is a private, outpatient program which provides humanistic treatment for those who abuse drugs. The program specializes in the treatment of narcotic addiction. Services are confidential and professional. The Center for Substance Abuse Treatment (CSAT) and the National Institute for Drug Addiction (NIDA) have funded numerous studies on the disease of opioid addiction and the use of methadone for treatment over the past 50 years. Counseling and education, provided alongside medication, allow patients the opportunity to address the impact that addiction has had on their physical, emotional, and social conditions and to work toward positive, productive, drug-free lifestyles. Throughout the world, methadone maintenance patients have been restored to productive lives; relations with families and children have been reestablished; many have furthered their educations, obtained employment, and improved their physical and mental health. Outpatient methadone treatment and counseling are less costly and less confining than inpatient treatment of the medical and psychiatric conditions caused by active addiction. CSAC maintains a strong commitment to high quality, cost-effective treatment to the substance abusing patient. The goal is to provide prompt, professional and effective services to assist patient / consumers in dealing with problems that are both directly and indirectly related to substance abuse. CSAC offers integrated medical and counseling approaches grounded in an individualized recovery oriented philosophy that treats addiction as a biopsychosocial disease.
