Hope Center
Hope Center operates a highly successful Recovery Program for Men at its facility on West Loudon Avenue. Over a thousand men have successfully completed this program. The program provides a long-term recovery approach that is both peer-driven and professionally supervised. It teaches the Twelve Steps of AA and the Recovery Dynamics curriculum in a community atmosphere that emphasizes both personal responsibility and mutual accountability. The men’s program includes a non-medical, licensed detoxification center that has eight beds and is always open. The Recovery Program for Women is based on the same peer-driven, professionally supervised model as the men’s program. It features SOS (supportive, safe environment to gain sobriety) instead of a detoxification center, adds several gender-specific features, and includes a health clinic. Outcome data indicates that 95 percent of women remain abstinent from drugs and alcohol six months after entering the program. One year after completion of the program, 71 percent remain abstinent from drugs and alcohol. Many of those who relapse use the tools and resources they learned and quickly return to the path of recovery before doing further damage to themselves and others. For those who participate in the Hope Center Recovery Programs, every day is an opportunity for growth, change and living a positive, productive life. Hope Center programs sleeps 800 clients each night. But we serve even more. Rebuilding lives consists of many services working together; shelter, meals and social services. In 2013 over 160,000 meals were served plus over 6,000 volunteer hours and 12, 732 services were provided to the homeless by our HopeMobile. But the data sheets below provide details of all the services we provide to help those who need it most. For more information please contact Hope Center.

As a private, non-profit agency, Wellspring operates two Crisis Stabilization services, two Transitional Housing programs, three Supported Housing programs and deeply subsidized rental housing throughout Jefferson County and a Shelby County site. For many years, Wellspring was the only agency in this region that provided independent housing coupled with psychiatric rehabilitative services for those challenged by mental illness. We are proud that today, we still offer the region’s most comprehensive supportive housing services for adults with severe mental illness. In our programs: We are dedicated to providing recovery-oriented programming, which always incorporates client-centered, individualized care, and utilizes a multi-disciplinary approach. In our housing: We provide high quality, well-constructed housing that assures our clients opportunities for community integration and enhances our neighborhoods. At Wellspring, we recognize that recovery from psychiatric illness does not mean finding a cure; rather, it means developing a satisfying, hopeful and contributing life despite the presence of mental illness. Certainly, having the stability and dignity of safe, secure housing is one of the essential pieces that must be in order before the work of psychiatric rehabilitation and recovery can begin. We know that recovery is a unique process for each person; therefore to most effectively promote recovery from mental illness, Wellspring has developed an array of options that meet our clients’ needs and preferences. The Talbot House
The Talbot House organization is dedicated to providing shelter, education and support to men recovering from alcoholism and chemical dependency. It is the mission of our organization to “bridge the gap” for men who are endeavoring to return to their families and to their communities, as sober, useful members of society. The Talbot house is a halfway house for recovering male alcoholics. We provide a 90-120 day rehabilitation program for the alcoholics who have gone through detoxification. The residential program stresses responsible behavior and the regaining of self-esteem. This is accomplished by a structured living arrangement where there are house duties as well as employment outside of the house. Residents have close contact with the staff. The Talbot house program is based on the principles of Alcoholics Anonymous. We provide the opportunity for the recovering alcoholic to reshape their thinking and their lives with strong AA support, encouragement and fellowship. The Beacon House
The Beacon House provides a positive, safe, and accountable environment for men to overcome alcohol and drug addiction and learn to live a productive life. Residential facilities for those in recovery from alcohol or drug abuse are called “Houses” – “Half-Way,” “Sober,” or “Recovery,” to name a few. All of these houses provide temporary accommodations for varying lengths of time for ones who need special support in their journeys toward sobriety; however, the services offered by each type of house are different. A sober / recovery house provides accommodations and asks residents to stay alcohol and drug-free while complying with the rules of the facility, which include participation in a recovery program. A half-way house expects a higher standard of accountability from each resident, who has had treatment and is ready to begin next steps toward independent living. A Drug & Alcohol Half-Way House is a transition or after-care house that is licensed by the state’s Department of Health Services and offers a safe and secure environment with staff coverage 24 hours a day. It also has the following: Specific guidelines and requirements for admission; Treatment professionals, spiritual counselors and non-professionals in recovery who serve as mentors, coaches, and role models for residents; Structured activities and routines in a home-like setting; Responsibility for everyday activities such as housekeeping and meal preparation; and, Accountability for remaining drug and alcohol free with random urine testing to keep residents focused. A half-way house’s goal is to enable its residents to ease the situation of addiction in steady increments by teaching them ways to live a full life in recovery. For more information please contact The Beacon House.

The Morton Center
The Morton Center Helps Put Lives Back Together. Whether it’s alcoholism or drug abuse, addiction extends its grip to children, spouses, friends, even co-workers — tearing their worlds apart. That’s why, since 1984, The Morton Center has provided outpatient treatment to people of all ages and incomes while addressing the impact on their families.
For more information please contact The Talbot House.

We’re the region’s only privately funded, non-profit facility treating chemical dependency and other addictions. At The Morton Center, we recognize that alcoholism and other addictions affect the entire family. We always have. Since 1984, The Morton Center has provided outpatient treatment to nearly 20,000 people of all ages and incomes throughout Kentucky and beyond… including family members. We’re the region’s only privately funded, non-profit facility treating chemical dependency and other addictions. Our family focus is a proven approach that sets us apart. There’s growing statistical evidence that treating the impact of addiction on the family enhances success rates for both the addicted person and their family members. Something else sets us apart. We believe that addiction can’t be separated from the person. So, we treat the whole person, not just their addiction.
|
We’re a counseling center, where our professional staff treats a person’s social, mental, emotional, spiritual and physical well-being. The Morton Center uses the 12 Steps of recovery… in conjunction with treating the whole person – including family members. If you, a loved one, a friend, a co-worker, or an employee needs help, let us know. Today. Your call will be kept in strict confidence. For more information please contact The Morton Center.

The Healing Place
The Healing Place truly is "where hope is found." Whether you are someone struggling with addiction in your own life, looking to get help for a loved one, or searching for a recovery model that really works, we are here for you. Our program is unlike any other in the country. Because it's based on a social model - one that's about empowerment rather than entitlement - it is more than five times more effective than the national average at keeping people clean and sober. Best of all, it's open to everyone, and we maintain it with a far lower cost than most other facilities. The Healing Place also offers a long-term residential recovery program. The only requirement is that you have a sincere desire to recover from your addiction and change your life. To get started in our program, call one of our Recovery Centers to the right. The Healing Place recognizes that there is a great need for substance abuse services across the country. Each person who requests admission to our programs will be considered on a case by case basis. However, we are not able to provide services to everyone who requests admission. The Healing Place has become one of the nation's most effective long-term, social model recovery programs. With 75 percent of our alumni remaining sober after one year, our success rate is five times the national average for recovery facilities. While our statistics are great, its important to remember that we are talking about people. Today, over 3,500 individuals are leading productive lives and many are reunited with their families because of our unique approach to recovery. Our program relies on the assistance and guidance of its alumni to supplement traditional approaches to recovery. The Healing Place is a place where hope is found and change happens! So, whether you are looking to get help or give it, we invite you to look through our site to find the answers you need. For more information please contact The Healing Place.
