Communicare is one of fourteen community Kentucky mental health centers providing behavioral health, developmental disabilities and substance abuse services in the Lincoln Trail ADD District. Kentucky River Community Care, KRCC is a private nonprofit Community Mental Health Center dedicated to improving the health and wellbeing of the people of our region. RiverValley Behavioral Health: Chemical Dependency / Substance Abuse Programs in Kentucky. Our chemical dependency and substance abuse programs take patients in all stages of addiction and helps them move toward sobriety through a variety of services. Our program offerings are: OUT-PATIENT: Sessions for substance abuse problems are offered for adults and children in six of our western Kentucky clinics. The Intensive Out-patient Program is offered in Owensboro, KY. Counseling for the family of the client is offered as a part of the program as well as aftercare services to sustain treatment progress. The IOP participants meet a minimum of three hours per day, three days a week for up to six weeks. Day treatment offers another option for those struggling with alcohol and drug addictions. This program is intended to be a higher level of care than traditional outpatient, but less intense than a residential program. The Day Treatment Program typically operates from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. daily. RESIDENTIAL CHEMICAL DEPENDENCY PROGRAM: RCD offers acute stabilization, social detox and a rehabilitation treatment program for both men and women over 18 years of age. Patients receive individual and group counseling, alcohol and drug educational classes, relapse-prevention counseling and a strong orientation to 12-step programs (AA and NA) during a 28 to 30 day stay. Comprehend Addiction Services
Comprehend Addiction Services: Substance Abuse Outpatient Services will make referrals as needed for Inpatient Services. Groups are available in all five counties. Your therapist will direct you to a specific group meeting at a specific time and place. Substance Abuse Outpatient Services are available for adults, with specialized services for pregnant women. Substance Abuse Outpatient Services will make referrals when appropriate to our Intensive Outpatient Therapy Program (a regional program housed in Mason County). Adult Intensive Outpatient Substance Abuse is regional program housed at our Mason County facility. Intensive Outpatient Program for Substance Abuse involves individual, group therapy and psycho-educational sessions. Treatment in IOP is still "outpatient" treatment, but involves at least three sessions per week, with each session lasting three hours. There is a specialized program for substance abusing, pregnant women. Comprehend is ordered by the state to give priority in drug education and treatment to substance-abusing pregnant women. Pregnant women have their own Intensive Outpatient Program for substance abuse, which meets three times per week, for three hours at a time. As part of Intensive Outpatient Therapy, pregnant women receive psycho-educational sessions, individual therapy and group therapy. Men's Substance Abuse Recovery Program provided at the Mason County Detention Center is a six month program that meets the requirements as a "SAP" for the KY Department of Corrections. Women's Substance Abuse Recovery Program provided at the Mason County Detention Center is a three month program that serves both misdemeanor and felony inmates. Drug Court Services are available through the Mason and Lewis County Drug Courts. Services are provided at any of our outpatient offices.Drug Court participants referred to Comprehend participate in appropriate education and outpatient therapy regarding their substance abuse issues. Transitions
Transitions has been providing life-saving treatment to those with substance use disorders for over 40 years. Our mission is to help individuals, families and communities by providing addiction recovery services. We offer a 7-10 day program where men and women may safely undergo withdraw from alcohol and other drugs. The program admits Kentucky residents, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Transitions offers a 90 day program for women in Covington, KY that allows their children under age 12 to accompany them, and also a 90 day program for men in Dayton, KY. Dependent upon the situation, pregnant women and new mothers might stay up to 9 months. Upon completing the residential programs, clients may participate in outpatient aftercare counseling for up to a year. At The Grateful Life Center in Erlanger, KY, clients participate in residential recovery services for 9-12 months, or even longer. The program is based on the successful model used by The Healing Place in Louisville. Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) in Covington, KY lasts 6 months. Clients can receive several hours of treatment a week while remaining employed in the community. Catholic Charities: Substance abuse treatment is available for adolescents and adults. Screening inventories and thorough assessments are the first steps in a comprehensive approach that includes education and treatment. SAT services are offered on site and in schools, which educate participants in the disease concept of chemical dependency and offer strategies to lessen substance abuse and maintain sobriety. Awareness & Discovery Group’s Intensive Outpatient program is most appropriate for an individual who is able to reside and work in the community while attending treatment. This is the treatment option recommended for the person who: Is motivated to recover from alcohol and / or other drug abuse or addiction; May have completed residential or in-patient treatment but needs additional support in the early stages of recovery.
