Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers

Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers (ADATC) operates three facilities that allow people to overcome substance abuse and enjoy life again. Pearson Hall, Olivia's House, and the Zukoski Center provide services operated by ADATC, which is certified by the Alabama Department of Mental Health-Mental Retardation. Like any other disease, alcoholism or drug addiction requires professional treatment. It is a primary, progressive, and fatal disease. Without treatment it will get worse. However, with professional treatment and abstinence, there is a one hundred percent chance of recovery. What happens when people recover? They get healthier and learn to feel good about themselves. Relationships with family and friends improve. They can laugh and feel joy. All in all, life gets better—a whole lot better. For more information please contact Alcohol and Drug Abuse Treatment Centers:

Self-Recovery, LLC

Self-Recovery, LLC, was opened in September of 2005 by Tommy Moore, SCAD, C.E.O., to meet the growing need for substance abuse detoxification. By 2009, we realized that we would need to open a second unit in order to meet the growing demands of the victims of substance abuse. On February 1, 2009 we opened our 1st unit in Northern Alabama. In July of 2010, we moved from our home location in York, Alabama, to a more centralized location at Bryan W. Whitfield Memorial Hospital in Demopolis, Alabama. Self-Recovery was opened because we understand the struggle of addiction and the addict who still suffers. We, as the staff at Self-Recovery, believe that with proper treatment the disease of addiction can be placed in remission, allowing the individual to regain their self respect, dignity and control of their life. The Staff of Self-Recovery believes in treating each person as an individual, with dignity and respect. We understand that addiction is a life threatening disease, and that if left untreated will result in death. We also understand that recovery is possible! We never give up hope for the patient, even when a patient themselves has exhausted all hope. We give each patient the necessary tools to succeed in their recovery. The greatest reward that we as a staff receive is when we hear back from a patient who has completed the program and is living a sober life of recovery. Mountain View Behavioral Health Centers

Mountain View Behavioral Health Centers offers an outpatient recovery program designed for 14 weeks of individualized approaches for treating the chemically addicted client. The program is flexible to allow clients the opportunity to fulfill his or her responsibilities of home, work and school while learning to cope with stressors without self medicating with alcohol and/or other drugs. This program will allow clients to live at home and continue to work while they receive treatment for alcohol or drug dependency. Mountain View adheres to the “concept of addictive disease” which addresses addiction as a chronic, progressive, fatal illness with medical symptoms that include tolerance, dependence, and pathologic organ changes. Behavioral symptoms include compulsion, loss of control, and continued use despite adverse consequences. Accordingly, our program considers addictive disease to be primarily a “biochemical / genetic disorder that is activated by the use of the drug.” For more information please contact Mountain View Behavioral Health Centers:
