​Port of Hope
Port of Hope offers many different forms of counseling, both group and individual, for people with substance abuse problems as well as their families. Many of our counselors are themselves recovering addicts and alcoholics, giving them insight into the experiences and problems that our clients face. Port of Hope is a non-medical facility. We don't give you new drugs to get you off old ones. We do, however, have medical centers near each of our locations on the occasion that medical assistance is required, though it is rarely needed. We are licensed by the state of Idaho and meet all of the stringent federal standards of health and safety.

Bannock House provides residential treatment for young people exclusively through a contract with the State of Idaho, Department of Health and Welfare, Children and Family Services, Region 6. Those eligible for services are males or females between the ages of 10 and 18 in the custody of the State of Idaho as determined by legal action. Placement is determined by the State of Idaho Regional Placement Authority. Treatment Families with experience are preferred but not a necessity. Treatment Parents may be working couples, single parents, or have a stay-at-home parent. The single most important thing is that the Treatment Parents have a sincere interest in kids and the desire to help them create a better future. Parents must be patient, flexible, willing to laugh, eager to learn, and do not easily give up. One parent must be able to be available in case of emergency. Services offered to the Treatment Parents by Bannock Youth Foundation include; weekly in-home staff visits to assist you with your foster child’s specific needs, assistance with transportation to appointments other activities the child may have, on-call crisis services, pre-service and ongoing training as needed, coverage for your child’s medical and clothing expenses. MK PLACE is designed to achieve permanent changes in an adolescent’s life. To accomplish this we address major developmental, lifestyle, attitudinal and behavioral issues which can undermine the goals of treatment or inhibit the individual’s ability to cope with major life or developmental tasks. Abundant Wellness Center: We believe in building resiliency as a pathway to wellness. Rathdrum Counseling Center: Our mission is to help reduce the unnecessary suffering caused by substance use and mental health disorders. We accomplish this in part by taking an eclectic approach to treatment using a wide variety of behavioral techniques, including motivational interviewing, motivational enhancement, harm reduction strategies and cognitive behavioral therapies. Our substance use disorder treatment program is structured to simultaneously provide mental health services. Rathdrum Counseling Services, LLC uses The American Society of Addiction Medicine's (ASAM) Second Edition - Revised Patient Placement Criteria (ASAM PPC-2R) to determine the most appropriate level of care for the assessed client. Clients that enroll in treatment at Rathdrum Counseling Services, LLC are assessed during the intake phase and placed in a level of care based on that assessment. Based on the outcome of the client’s assessment, placement into our IOP services is made. We provide Level I, Level II, Level III treatment services. Upper Valley Resource and Counseling Center was established in response to the growing Substance Abuse and Mental Health treatment needs of Southeastern Idaho. Upper Valley is locally owned and operated and focused on meeting the needs of the residents of the Upper Snake River Valley. Our mission is to provide community services that are timely, empowering, and based on sound psychosocial principles. Our Substance Abuse Treatment Program is designed to assist individuals to recognize things that trigger their use and help them to learn the skills they can use to overcome their addictions. Individual Counseling: The primary purpose of therapy is to address the issues that make it hard for the individual to manage their lives and achieve their goals. The therapy will help the individual to discover what areas of their lives are causing problems and set goals to resolve these problems. Motivational Enhancement: The Motivation Enhancement program is designed to help people move through the stages of change and toward changing substance abuse. Relapse Prevention: Using the Hazelden Recovery Plan's "Help Series", clients are taught about the core issues in addiction and recovery. This program focuses on helping learn which recovery techniques are relevant and useful for each individual by connecting concepts with life experiences and interests, experimenting with new behaviors in a safe environment, and making concrete plans to use new behaviors in daily life.
